Cougar, 57yo, has dated 200 younger men and says…

Not all older women who date younger men are cougars. They don’t want long-term relationships, they’re financially independent and sophisticated and smart and don’t want to get into something long-term with anyone.

A prolific cougar who has dated hundreds of toy boys believes bedding men under 30 is the key to keeping young.

Since she divorced her second husband in 2010 Gaynor Evans has dated more than 200 younger men.

It all began when the 57-year-old had a fling with a 23-year-old.

The author, agony aunt and businesswoman, from Enfield, North London, never dates exclusively and said she has no intention of her love life slowing down – despite now being a grandmother-of-four.

Mum-of-four Gaynor said she doesn’t mind the stigma from other women and claims her family are totally supportive – despite the fact that some of the men she dates are younger than her children.

She said: “I’m an older woman who has stepped outside convention – I’m very unusual.

“I’m one of the most openly prolific cougars out there. I’m not boasting about it and I know it’s not for everyone, but I’m non-repentant.

“I make no apologies and I make no apologies for being a prolific cougar because it’s a lifestyle choice and one I’m happy with.

“My sexual desire has never waned and I’m dating three men non-exclusively at the moment.”

As well as ensuring that she is satiated, Gaynor believes her taste in men is keeping her young.

“Although I’m nearly 60, I feel 30,” she said.

“I won’t waste time worrying whether people judge me for having great sex with a 25-year-old.

“I’m not ready to hang up my hat, I don’t suit a man my age.

“Older men need looking after, but younger men just enjoy life and don’t have the baggage. Older men also tend to go for younger women.

“Younger men don’t want mothering despite what people would think – they make you feel in touch with the world.”

The successful recruitment business owner has been married twice.

She met her first husband aged 18 and had three children with him before they got divorced at the age of 28.

She went on to marry a man a decade younger than herself in 1987.

The second partnership officially ended 23 years later after her husband moved out in 2008, leaving Gaynor single in her late 40s.

In 2008, she started to notice younger men were drawn to her while on nights out with her daughters Laura, 38 and Katie, 39.

She said: “After being married twice I was launched back into single life. I was disillusioned.

“Being single in my late 40s was a shock, and I decided I had to change the ways I thought about things.

“I was terrified, as an older woman I struggled with my confidence so I reinvented myself.

“I noticed I started getting approaches from younger guys while I was out with my daughters.

“Initially I thought they were just being polite but then I realised they were interested.”

It took a while before Gaynor was able to take the attention seriously.

“It was an eye-opener – I couldn’t believe they were flirting with me,” she continued,

“Eventually, I went for it with a 23-year-old.

“Being intimate with him was a very uplifting experience, he was very adoring and flattering.

“That spurred me on and I went from strength to strength.”

Gaynor, who meets men using the app ToyboyWarehouse.com, insists despite the 25-year age gap with most of her lovers, things between the sheets are better than ever.

Gaynor said: “I have never had a bad experience in bed with a younger man.

“The chemistry is very electric because as an older woman I’m confident – I’ve never been criticised.

“It’s not just about the sex though. It’s so far from that, it’s about the conversation and the rapport. Feelings do get involved.

“I multi-date and I’m not exclusive with men because it would be unrealistic of me to expect the same from them.

“I know people who are 100% faithful, but I think that a man’s natural inclination is to spread his seed.”

Gaynor said that she encounters critics from time to time but insists she’s happy to live her life in her unique way.

She said: “People are very small minded. It’s usually the women who are most hostile. They’re jealous and envious.

“Every year I question myself, and think ‘am I ready to change’. But I’d rather have this freedom and live my life like I want.

“If I could be in a relationship I would but the freedom I feel today is something I don’t think I would give up lightly.

“The thought of getting elder scares me, no one wants to get old, it’s just a fact of life.

“My life is far more joyful and exciting than it has even been.”

Toy Boys. Absolutely better than a stable relationship

Toy Boys. Absolutely better than a stable relationship

Demi Moore, Tilda Swinton and Sam Taylor-Wood are all fans of the toyboy.

Now a study has showed that women who date, or are married to younger men consider themselves younger at heart than those who spend their time with an older man.

The survey of 1,000 women found that having a toyboy can make a woman feel an average of four years younger than they actually are.

It revealed that women with younger partners have a tendency to enjoy more outdoor activities and mix with people who have more youthful hobbies.

Most said that their partner made them feel four years younger, but one in ten claimed that having a toyboy knocked ten years off their age.

More than half said that their partner’s energy had rubbed off on them and 27 per cent said that they visit pubs and nightclubs more with a younger man.

Three in ten admitted that they make an effort to dress younger, and a sixth said they over-compensate for their age by trying harder to keep the relationship fresh and exciting.

A spokesman for dating site Toyboy.com, which carried out the research, said that U.S. television show Cougar Town, which stars Courtney Cox, had sparked a 102 per cent increase in membership.

‘That is the largest increase we’ve seen in the ten years since we launched and it shows women are no longer secretive about their preferences for a younger man,’ he said.

‘An increase in high profile toyboy relationships like Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher has also helped.

‘It’s always been believed having a younger man makes you feel younger and now we have proven this is true.

‘Whether it means going out more, dressing differently or trying new things they wouldn’t normally have done, it does seem having a younger man is the answer.’

The survey also showed that the greater the age gap, the happier a woman is likely to be.

Thirty-six per cent of those polled said that older men are more set in their ways, grumpy (27 per cent) and serious (22 per cent), while one in five believe that they are more boring and likely to be out of shape.

They claimed that younger partners, on the other hand, are more likely to make them laugh, and have a more relaxed attitude to life. But they admitted that older men were more chivalrous and trustworthy.

Of those who were previously in a relationship with an older man, one in six admitted to being on the lookout for someone younger.

But three in ten women said that they would not trust a younger man not to leave them for a girl his own age.
